Dr. Ashokan did his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Kerala University. After completing the MDS [Master of Dental Surgery] in Periodontics, he underwent Post Graduate Certificate course in Advanced Oral Implantology, at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, University of MAHE

He also holds Certificate In Advanced Oral Implantology [Advanced Training in Frialit -2 and Frialoc Implants from Friadent Research Center, Mannheim Germany and is also recognized with Fellowship from International Congress of Oral Implantology [USA].

He is the immediate past State President, Indian Dental Association, a lifetime member of ISP (Indian Society of Periodontology) and ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantology) and also is a member of DCI (Dental Council of India) representing the Govt. of Kerala.

Dr. Ashokan is an active Rotarian and recipient of the best Presidents Award in the district 3200. Currently he is the district secretory of Rotary International

Dr. Ashokan has recently undergone special training in Implant dentistry and sinus augmentation from New York University ,College of Dentistry, the largest and oldest dental school US.

Dr. Ashokan has more than 25 Years of Clinical Experience in General Dentistry, with 15 Years Experience in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Ashokan has more than 15 years of teaching experience and is currently heading the Department of Periodontics, College of Dental Sciences - Pariyaram (Kannur University). He has also served as faculty in many CDE programs in Kerala and other part of India and abroad like Europe, Far East and Middle East

There are more than twenty scientific articles published in various state and national dental journals to his credit. He has also been involved in various phone-in programs and talks on dental subjects related to Implantology, Periodontics and general Dentistry on many occasions in All India Radio, and TV channels.
